HOME AFFAIRS / SIMPLY A DREAM (IRE) COLT
Inglis Easter Sale Lot 167
Purchased for $200,000
“This colt has a beautiful walk, great hindquarter and a fantastic page. There is a lot to like about him.” - Ben Hayes
When we inspected this colt, we were taken with his great walk and strong hindquarter. He really uses himself when he moves and he is definitely one of the more athletic HOME AFFAIRS we have seen all sales season. The HOME AFFAIRS have been incredibly popular across the board and the ones we have purchased so far this year have already been fully syndicated.
This colt, however, stands apart. He offers more scope and potential for physical development than many of his peers, and we believe there’s plenty of improvement to come. The trainers see him as a natural miler—an opinion supported by his pedigree.
He’s by the electrifying sprinter HOME AFFAIRS, winner of both the Gr.1 Coolmore Stud Stakes and Gr.1 Lightning Stakes, and out of a mare by CAMELOT, the dual Classic-winning son of Montjeu who claimed the Irish Derby and the 2000 Guineas as a 3YO.
This colt hails from a deep European family rich in black type, including the legendary HIGH CHAPARRAL—a Champion sire whose influence continues to be felt globally. His dam is a full-sister to the multiple Group-winning HUNTING HORN and a half-sister to DAVID LIVINGSTON, also a multiple Group winner.
For buyers seeking a colt with athleticism, pedigree, and long-term potential, he checks every box. You can view his full pedigree page below.
