Second Shadwell Juvenile Stakes

Qafila continued to show the stable's juvenile strength and Shadwell racing manager, Angus Gold's good judgement with her victory in the Listed Inglis Debutant Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield.

The 2yo filly (by Not A Single Doubt) made an impact In Victoria 's second juvenile stakes race of the season just one week after stablemate Nomothaj (by Snitzel) took out Melbourne's first 2yo race of the season, the Listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes at Flemington.

Qafila, like Nomothaj, is owned by Shadwell Stud and was bought from this year's Magic Millions yearling sale at the Gold Coast for $450,000 by Angus Gold.

Tom Dabernig was impressed by Qafila's performance and said she may be seen during the Melbourne Cup carnival at Flemington or instead be put away to target the Magic Millions 2yo Classic at the Gold Coast in January.
