Royal Ascot Watch

With Redkirk Warrior flying the flag as the only Australian-trained runner at Royal Ascot, tune in to watch on free-to-air television via Racing.com (Channel 78 or 68) as well as Sky Racing via Foxtel (Channel 528).

The Royal Ascot five-day coverage begins on Tuesday 19 June at 10.30pm AEST.

Redkirk Warrior’s race will be on Saturday 23 June in the UK watch live in Australia at 1.20am AEST Sunday 24 June
The Diamond Jubilee Stakes (Group 1) 4+ £600,000 (1200m straight)

The five-day meeting is considered the pinnacle of British flat racing and will offer record prizemoney of £7.305 million (AUD$9.63 million).

The Royal meeting commences each day with the arrival of the four-carriage Royal Procession, entering the racecourse from Windsor Great Park and making its way down the home straight in front of the grandstand before entering the Parade Ring.

A total of 30 races will be staged, highlighted by eight Group 1 contests – the Queen Anne Stakes (1600m), The King’s Stand Stakes (1000m), The St James’s Palace Stakes (1600m), The Prince Of Wales’s Stakes (2000m), The Gold Cup (4000m), The Commonwealth Cup (1200m), The Coronation Stakes (1600m), and The Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m).

Redkirk Warrior will run against Aussie expat Merchant Navy, now trained in Ireland by Aiden O’Brien.

If successful, Redkirk Warrior will join racing greats Choisir, Takeover Target, Miss Andretti, Scenic Blast and Black Caviar as Australian-trained winners at Royal Ascot.
