Harlem heads to Caulfield Cup

HARLEM raced into Caulfield Cup calculations with an emphatic win in the Group 3 MRC Foundation Cup (2000m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

The son of CHAMPS ELYSEES was bought in partnership by SackvilleDonald’s Al Donald and Louis Le Metayer’s Astute Bloodstock for 520,000 guineas from the 2016 Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training sale from the consignment of Juddmonte Farms.

By winning the Foundation Cup, he has now booked himself a start in the $3 million Caulfield Cup on October 21.

With David at Rosehill on Saturday, Tom and Ben at Caulfield were understandably excited.

Ridden by Dwayne Dunn, Harlem finished 3 lengths ahead of stablemate Samovare.

HARLEM, owned by an enthusiastic syndicate races in the colours of Hong Kong-based owner Edmond Lee who also part-owns Gr 1 VRC Newmarket Hcp winner REDKIRK WARRIOR who is set to run in the inaugural $10,000,000 The Everest at Randwick on October 14.
