Dream Arrival - Poetic Dream

Lightly-raced Group 2 winner Poetic Dream (3yo colt by Poet’s Voice ex Zain Al Boldan) has arrived at Lindsay Park, Euroa from Germany.

Poetic Dream has had just five career starts, the third of which was a stunning black-type debut to come from back in the field to win the Gr 2 German 2000 Guineas (1600m) at Cologne on May 21.

Bloodstock agent Louis Le Metayer, bid on behalf of David Hayes at the Arqana Arc Sale in France in September and fought off strong challenges to acquire him at a price of €900,000 (AUD$1.4 million).

With David Hayes believing there's a shortage of weight-for-age horses (with exception of Winx) in Australia, Poetic Dream looks to be competitive at Group One level at events over 1600m to 2500m.

"There is plenty of upside in this horse and it would be nice to have a star on the rise." commented David.
