BoomTime Japan Time

Caulfield Cup winner Boom Time ran a game race in the Gr 1 Japan Cup (2400m) to finish in 12th place in this year's 37th running of the international event.

Given a great ride by Cory Parish, David Hayes was of the opinion he could have achieved a better finishing position with a better run. “He was okay and could have finished a couple of positions closer if he had a bit more luck at the straight," Corey Parish, added: “I had no choice but let him run inside with a wall of horses on his outside, but he traveled well and he struggled a little up the rise but whereas you would think he would just drop back from there, he just carried on which was good."

Congratulations to jockey Hugh Bowman who rode the winner Cheval Grand (Heart's Cry ex Halwa Sweet by Machiavellian), in the race worth almost US$7,000,000.
