Vega Magic - Stakes Sprint Action

Vega Magic boosted his chances of attracting a suitor for the $10 million Everest (1200m) with a brilliant win in Saturday’s Listed Regal Roller Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield.

Stepping out for the first time since his Group 1 Goodwood (1200m) victory at Morphettville in May, the five-year-old raced three-wide on the speed but proved too tough for his rivals, sprinting clear inside the final 300 metres of the race before staving off a late challenge from Japanese import Brave Smash.
