Flemington Duo

Cannyesent made it three wins in a row to tally 7 in total and gave Lindsay Park a double at Flemington on Saturday.

The 4yo old gelding formerly trained by Gabrielle Englebrecht has now won $280,000 for his owners Kevin Pitstock and his Sona Bloodstock. Not bad for a $6,000 yearling.

He also became the stable’s 246th winner for season following up on the win of stable mate Charlevoix in the North East Region Hcp over 2520m.

The New Approach 4yo gelding was having his 5th stable start after previously being prepared by Mick Kent.

David believes he will be a Group stayer and will be set for the Bart Cummings (2500m) at Flemington in October.

Victory in the Bart Cummings gains the winner automatic entry into this year's Melbourne Cup.

Almandin won both races in 2016.
